The AI of My Day

I'm not a technically savvy person; it's one of the reasons we're so passionate about Consolve being extremely user friendly.

If you're like me, you may be shocked that AI has actually been around for almost 75 years!

The Origination of AI

Tablue.com says between 1950-1956:

This range of time was when the interest in AI really came to a head. Alan Turing published his work “Computer Machinery and Intelligence” which eventually became The Turing Test, which experts used to measure computer intelligence. The term “artificial intelligence” was coined and came into popular use.

In this time, computer pioneer, Arthur Lee Samuel, completed the world's first self-learning computer program— the Samuel Checkers-Playing Program. The AI of his day was a board game.

AI Now

AI is arguably the biggest tech trend today. Be it deepfakes, art, essays, computer codes, voice cloning, games, scheduling, video creation, and more... AI has probably done it. Consolve keeps a close eye on up and coming softwares, and it seems each week we find more AI tech on the market.

A lot of AI we've seen is useful like Reclaim ai or ChatGPT. Others are less productive, but wildly entertaining like Trump & Biden Minecraft or Skyrim voiceovers. The point is, there are SO much AI tech out there these days. Matt Wolf has made exploring and introducing the public to AI software his full-time job. He diligently organizes and reviews each new AI software that hits the market. You can see his compilation here: https://www.futuretools.io.

As you can see, the list is immense.

Back In My Day...

At almost 26 years of age, am I allowed to say "back in my day?"

I'm sure there was far more advanced AI then what I'm about to suggest, but back when I was a kid, this was my AI:

20Q Toy Game

How many of you remember playing 20 Questions on this little device? Back then, I thought this little game could read my mind. I was always amazed at how easily it seemed to uncover whatever animal or object I had chosen in my head; no matter how hard I tried to stump it.

I found that you can actually still play this game online. The website hasn't been updated in almost two decades, yet over 90 million games have been played online. You can play it here: 20 Questions.

I gave it a go and when the game was finished, the program showed me why my answers may have been unintentionally misleading or what it has been taught by other players.

Another Day... Another AI

These days, AI softwares are a dime a dozen. Yet, the possibilities that the advanced AI technologies present are thrilling!

What will AI develop next? What does that mean for your business? Industry?

Well, I guess we will see. I, for one, can't wait.
